Canadian Industry Minister Tony Clement said he will reverse a regulator’s decision made last month about Internet billing regardless of the outcome of a review.

Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission Chairman Konrad von Finckenstein said today he would review the Jan. 25 decision allowing cable and telephone companies such as BCE Inc. to begin so-called usage-based billing for Internet service providers that use their networks. The decision, which was to be implemented March 1, will be delayed 60 days, he said.
