BlackRock’s Fink Gets Stock Valued at $12.8 Million

BlackRock Inc. Chief Executive Officer Laurence D. Fink was awarded stock valued at $12.8 million, higher than similar awards made so far to heads of other financial companies, according to regulatory filings.

Fink’s award includes 46,031 restricted shares for 2010, valued at $9.1 million based on yesterday’s closing price of $198.02. New York-based BlackRock, the world’s biggest asset management firm, gave Fink an additional 18,712 in restricted shares that vest in 2014, according to the filing.
