OAO Acron, the Russian fertilizer maker that holds an 8 percent stake in OAO Silvinit, appealed Silvinit’s plan to merge with OAO Uralkali to form the world’s second-largest potash producer.

Acron filed a claim to the Arbitration Court in Perm, where Silvinit is based, requesting that Silvinit’s board approval for the merger be annulled, Elena Kochubey, Acron’s spokeswoman in Moscow, said today by telephone.
