Russia Bomb Suspect May Have Been Trained in Pakistan, RG Says
Russian authorities investigating the terrorist attack at Moscow’s Domodedovo airport think the bomber may have come from the Stavropol region, in the south of the country, and been trained at a terrorist camp in Pakistan, Rossiyskaya Gazeta reported, citing law-enforcement officials and Pakistani media reports.
The suspect is thought to have been a member of a criminal gang called Nogaisky Dzhamaat; his relatives say he has been missing since October, according to the report.
The investigators have asked Pakistan’s security service to provide information on people from Russia who have visited the south Asian country in the past few months, the newspaper said.
