American International Group Inc.’s plane-leasing unit plans to buy about 100 narrow-body jets, its first order since 2007, as it seeks to grow after the insurer’s U.S. bailout, two people with knowledge of the matter said.

International Lease Finance Corp. is considering Airbus SAS’s new A320 NEO and Boeing Co.’s 737, said the people, who asked not to be identified because the talks are private. ILFC also is studying Bombardier Inc.’s CSeries jet, one person said. An order may come this quarter, that person said.
