Banks Should Curb Bonuses as Economy Suffers, EU’s Barnier Says

Banks should use “moderation” in setting bonuses while other parts of the economy are “suffering,” Michel Barnier, the European Union’s financial services commissioner said today.
Barnier raised the question of banker pay after a meeting of European Union finance ministers and European Commission officials in Brussels today.
