NETHERLANDS DAYBOOK: Essar Reopens Talks on U.K. Shell Refinery
India’s Essar Oil Ltd. reopened talks to buy Royal Dutch Shell Plc’s Stanlow refinery in the U.K., the Sunday Times reported, citing an unidentified company spokesman. Shell has given Essar six weeks to submit a firm bid, the London-based newspaper said.
EQUITY MOVERS: Nieuwe Steen Investments NV, the Dutch owner of offices and shops in the Netherlands said it will continue merger talks with VastNed Offices/Industrial NV, the property investor. *Royal Vopak NV agreed to sell its 20 percent stake in the Bahamas oil terminal to Buckeye Partners LP and expects a profit of more than $150 million on the sale, the company said today.
MARKETS: *The Amsterdam Exchanges Index fell 0.2 percent to 361.32. *The Stoxx Europe 600 Index fell 0.1 percent to 283.77. *Dutch 10-year bond yield was 3.221 at 8:01 a.m. Amsterdam time. *The Euro was at $1.3306 at 8:01 a.m. Amsterdam time.
