Quantedge Capital, which uses statistical models to pick trades, aims to more than double the size of its hedge fund after it outperformed other global macro strategies last year.
The Singapore-based manager plans to grow its quantitative global macro fund to $200 million by the end of the year, from about $75 million as of Dec. 30, said co-founder Leow Kah Shin. Macro funds seek to profit from broad economic trends by trading currencies, bonds, stocks and commodities.
