Cyclone Warning Maintained as Storm Moves Away From Australia

Authorities maintained a warning in Western Australia state for a potential tropical cyclone as the low pressure system moves away from coastal regions.

The tropical low, which may develop into a cyclone today, “is not expected to affect the mainland” at it moves west at 26 kilometers an hour (16 miles per hour), the Bureau of Meteorology said on its website.
