PAA Natural Gas Storage to Buy Mississippi Facility

PAA Natural Gas Storage LP agreed to pay about $750 million for a Mississippi gas storage facility that will increase its capacity by 80 percent.

PAA, a subsidiary of Houston-based Plains All American Pipeline LP that owns storage sites in Louisiana and Michigan, will buy SG Resources Mississippi LLC, the company said in a statementBloomberg Terminal today. SG operates the Southern Pines Energy Center, a salt cavern in Greene County, Mississippi with a capacity of 40 billion cubic feet.
