AirAsia Chief Tony Fernandes Considers Virgin Atlantic Bid, Times Reports

AirAsia Bhd. Chief Executive Officer Tony Fernandes is considering a takeover bid for Virgin Atlantic Airways Ltd., the Sunday Times reported, without saying where it got the information.

Virgin spokesman Greg Dawson confirmed earlier this month that the U.K. carrier received "a number of lines of enquiry" since it hired Deutsche Bank AG to explore options.
