Brazil’s Bovespa held at a one-week high, ending little changed on the day, as airline Gol Linhas Aereas Inteligentes SA surged, offsetting a decline for metals producers as prices retreated.

Vale SA, the world’s biggest iron-ore producer, fell the most in a week as metals prices slid for the first time in five days. Gerdau SA led a drop among steelmakers. Declines on the Bovespa were limited by gains for Gol after aviation workers delayed a strike that could have disrupted Christmas travel.
