Czech President Signs Law to Raise Tax on Solar-Energy Industry

Czech President Vaclav Klaus signed a law that will increase taxes imposed on the solar-energy industry and withdraw government support.

The law will levy a 26 percent income tax on solar-energy producers for the next three years and impose a 32 percent tax on carbon credits awarded to companies in the coming two years, according to a statement on the President’s website.
