Workers for Panama-based Copa Airlines may strike ahead of the Christmas holiday rush if talks to improve job security and working conditions break down, La Prensa reported, citing union leader Edgar Diaz.
About 1,400 workers will walk off the job on Dec. 23 if their demands are not met, the Panama City-based newspaper said today. The strike could affect Copa’s 150 daily flights in and out of Panama to 24 countries, according to La Prensa.
