Nokia Oyj, the world’s biggest maker of mobile phones, will cut a maximum of 800 jobs in Finland after concluding talks with unions.
About 560 of the planned cuts will be in Symbian smartphone operations, Paeivyt Tallqvist, a spokeswoman for the Espoo, Finland-based company, said in a telephone interview. Nokia has more than 6,000 people worldwide working on Symbian, its main smartphone system, she said.
