Indonesia’s growing efforts to increase crude oil and natural gas output to meet rising domestic consumption may boost demand for new offshore support vessels next year, according to Norway’s DnB NOR ASA.

The nation’s demand for basic equipment such as oil drilling ships and rigs will rise as the country pledged to increase investment in energy exploration, Thor Andre Lunder, who heads the bank’s Asian equity research team in Singapore, said today.
