IMF Says It Sold 19.5 Metric Tons of Gold in October

The International Monetary Fund sold 19.5 metric tons of gold in October as part of a plan to shore up its finances.
The sales reduced the Washington-based lender’s holdings at the end of the month to 2,846.7 tons, said Alistair Thomson, a spokesman.
