Climate change will cause a delay in Madagascar’s rice harvest for the third consecutive season, l’Express reported, citing Andry Randrianarivelo, group secretary of the Intensive Ricefarming System.

A lack of rain means the crop will be reaped in late January at the earliest, the Antananarivo-based newspaper said. Industry experts have recommended that farmers manage water better and use seeds that take less time to mature, it said.
