China Is ‘Worried’ About Korean Tension, Foreign Ministry Says

China’s foreign ministry said it’s “worried” about escalating tensions between North Korea and South Korea, after the North made its worst attack on its neighbor in at least eight months.

China is watching the situation very closely, and encourages the two sides to settle their differences peacefully, Hong Lei, a foreign ministry spokesman, said in a statement on its website.
