Ziguele Enters Central African Republic Election, Reuters Says

Central African Republic opposition leader Martin Ziguele entered the Jan. 23 presidential election after missing an initial deadline to register, Reuters said, citing the election commission.

Ziguele, head of the Movement for the Liberation of the Centrafrican People, is among six candidates, including incumbent President Francois Bozize, the news agency said.

The election has been delayed three times because of problems over funding and rebel disarmament, Reuters said.
