Noble Energy ‘Likely’ Will Exit Ecuador With New Law

Noble Energy Inc. said it will “most likely” leave Ecuador rather than submit to contract changes intended to increase the government’s share of profits from oil and natural-gas wells.

Noble “has been in discussions with the state on the future of the assets which most likely will lead” to the exit, David Larson, a spokesman for Houston-based Noble, said in an e-mailed statement today.
