U.S. Corn Planting to Reach Four-Year High in 2011, Informa Says

U.S. corn planting will rise to 93.055 million acres next year, compared with 88.222 million that the government estimated was sown in 2010, Memphis, Tennessee-based researcher Informa Economics Inc. said today in a report to clients. Planting next year will be the highest since 2007, Informa said. In September, Informa forecast farmers would plant 90.39 million next year.
