HSBC Cuts U.S. Wind-Power Forecast, Says Vestas Best-Positioned

HSBC Holdings Plc cut its wind-power forecast for the U.S. and said Vestas Wind Systems A/S is the best-placed turbine manufacturer to gain market share worldwide in the industry slump.
The London-based bank cut its U.S. forecast by 14 percent this year and 33 percent next year, according to a note e-mailed today by analyst James Magness. Vestas sales may grow by about 25 percent next year, while the overall market grows 10 percent, he forecast.
