Poland’s antitrust regulator sees “no new arguments” to clear state-controlled utility PGE SA’s acquisition of competitor Energa SA from the Treasury, putting government revenue plans for this year at risk.

“For now there are no new arguments that would allow me to approve the transaction,” Malgorzata Krasnodebska-Tomkiel, the head of the watchdog, said in an interview in Warsaw today.
