China to Boost LNG Imports 8-Fold by 2020, Nikkei Reports

China’s imports of liquefied natural gas will probably rise eightfold in the next 10 years, driving up prices for the commodity, the Nikkei newspaper said, citing a Chinese government official it didn’t name. Imports of the fuel will climb to about 46 million tons by 2020, as China reduces its reliance on coal, the report said.
