Time Warner Cable, Disney Reach Deal Regarding ESPN, ABC Shows: N.Y. Post

Time Warner Cable and Walt Disney Co. have come to terms for a carriage agreement, avoiding a possible blackout of Disney’s ABC and ESPN shows on the cable system, the New York Post reported, citing an unidentified person close to the talks.

The agreement still needs to be reviewed by the companie’s legal advisers, the newspaper said.

The existing Time Warner Cable/Disney contract expires Thursday, a week before the NFL season opens in New Orleans, the newspaper added.
