Moscow Subway Bomber Killed by Special Agents, Kommersant Says

Magomedali Vagabov, an Islamist extremist who helped organize the March subway bombings in Moscow, was killed by special forces in southern Russia, Kommersant reported.
Vagabov, a 34-year-old leader of the self-styled “Caucasus Emirate,” died after a gun battle in Gunib, Dagestan, on Aug. 21, the Moscow-based newspaper reported today, citing unidentified law enforcement officials. Four other rebels were killed during the operation, according to Kommersant.
