Enbridge Inc. has reduced the capacity of its 490,000-barrel-a-day line 5, which carries crude oil from Superior, Wisconsin, to Sarnia, Ontario, and pressure restrictions have been applied to other lines.

“Our reduction on line 5 was part of our ongoing integrity management program,” Jennifer Varey, a company spokeswoman, said in an e-mail. “We are assessing other lines in our system and we have implemented some minor pressure restrictions to be prudent. We don’t anticipate our customers will be impacted.”
