Sime Darby Bhd., the world’s biggest listed palm oil producer, expects a “favorable yield performance” in the second half boosted by improving weather.
“There may be tree stress residue from the recent El Nino,” said Franki Anthony Dass, acting executive vice president at Sime Darby Plantation Sdn., in an e-mail. “The negative impact” may be offset by “improving weather factors coupled with peak crop months,” he said.
