Atlantic Thunderstorms May Strengthen into Depression

A low pressure area about 950 miles (1,528 kilometers) east-northeast of the Leeward Islands has a 70 percent chance of strengthening into a tropical depression over the next two days, the U.S. National Hurricane Center said.
The patch of showers and thunderstorms has a 70 percent of becoming more organized over the next 48 hours as it moves west-northwest at up to 15 miles per hour, the hurricane center said in an advisory on its website just before 8 a.m in Miami.
