China Unlikely to Relax Property Policies, BNP Says

China is unlikely to relax measures aimed at slowing the real-estate industry “anytime soon,” damping a recent recovery in sales and disappointing investors, according to BNP Paribas.

“The sector will be under downward pressure in the short term,” BNP analysts led by Frank Chen said in a report. “Existing policies are unlikely to be relaxed anytime soon.”
