OAO Uralkali’s billionaire owner Dmitry Rybolovlev may sell his controlling stake in Russia’s second-largest potash maker, Interfax reported, citing a person close to the negotiations.

Rybolovlev has pitched the sale of the stake to fellow billionaires including OAO GMK Norilsk Nickel shareholder Vladimir Potanin and OAO Polyus Gold’s Suleiman Kerimov, according to two people familiar with the matter. Rybolovlev’s Madura Holding Ltd. is in preliminary talks with interested parties, Uralkali said today in a statement.
