The fate of President Donald Trump rests with Republicans.3 So the hearing in the House of Representatives on Thursday about a whistle-blower’s allegation of impropriety involving Trump’s interaction with the president of Ukraine provided a good chance to see what GOP lawmakers are thinking.

The answer is: They’re all over the place. And that’s bad news for the White House.
