Singapore may have the answer to some of the frustration that has caused protesters to spill onto Hong Kong’s streets.

The demonstrations have gone well beyond anger toward an extradition bill, now withdrawn, to include demands for greater democracy. Beneath the frustration with a government that many see as tone-deaf lies intense anger felt by Hong Kong’s so-called "lost generation" toward a crony capitalism that they feel is robbing their future.
