South Korea's chaebols are betting big on Vietnam’s sprawling corporations. They’re even willing to forgo the markdown that typically comes with them. Samsung Electronics Co. is now the largest employer in the Southeast Asian nation. Since joining the World Trade Organization in 2007, a third of the country’s foreign direct investment has come from South Korea.
