July 9 (Bloomberg) -- After a Proton-M rocket carryingthree navigation satellites exploded 32 seconds after it waslaunched from Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan on July 2,Russians laughed.
“Three Glonass navigation satellites have beensuccessfully launched,” blogger Evgeny Kuznetsov tweeted. “Thesmoke from the place where they fell allows us to determine theprecise location of the launchpad.” Another Twitter user, GiviDzhashi, parodied MasterCard ads: “Morning coffee, 70 rubles. Acroissant with jam, 100 rubles. Watching $200 million blow uplive on the air -- priceless!”
