During last year’s confirmationhearings for Justice Elena Kagan, Democrats made their theme theneed to counter pro-business activism by the conservatives onthe court.
After the court ended its latest term last week, SenateJudiciary Committee Chairman Pat Leahy, a Vermont Democrat, helda hearing on the court’s favoritism toward corporations.
