Brexit negotiations will go to the wire in a high-pressure game of brinkmanship that could deny British lawmakers the chance to vote on a final deal before the country leaves the bloc, Brexit Secretary David Davis said.

The European Union is likely to stop the clock on the March 2019 deadline as the talks reach an intense climax at the last possible moment for striking an accord, Davis said in London on Wednesday. If this happens, Parliament might not be able to vote on the terms of Britain’s departure until it is too late to change them, he said.
