Democrat Martin O’Malley Says He’s Running for President

Former Md. Gov. says he’s entering presidential race, joining Sen. Bernie Sanders of Vermont as only Democratic challengers so far to party frontrunner Hillary Clinton.

  • NOTE: Signed ’12 state law that legalized same-sex marriage in Md., ’11 law that extended in-state college tuition to some children of illegal immigrants
  • He also signed law in ’13 repealing death penalty in state for future offenders
