I’ve had many requests for a Points of Return review of the books of the year. The problem is, I’ve barely read any new books. Instead, I devoured a succession of tomes diagnosing what has gone wrong with contemporary capitalism and offering ways forward. It’s been a fascinating endeavor, and you can read the essay I wrote on the conclusions here. I didn’t review the books in that piece, so here are some brief comments on each.
