Nebraska Shows Democrats Can Be Ruthless Too

Don’t let those laid-back amber waves fool you.

It has been a disappointing few weeks for the Democratic Party. What had seemed like a clear path to retake control of Congress in November has become something far more muddled, with Republicans across the South suddenly taking a new look at redistricting.

Once again, the question has become: How far are Democrats willing to go to fight back and win? The results of this week’s primaries in Nebraska offer an answer — and, surprisingly, it’s pretty darn far.
