Forget Vision — Los Angeles Voters Want an End to Dysfunction

It’s not easy to keep this city moving.

Spencer Pratt, the Republican running for mayor of Los Angeles — otherwise known as the guy who delighted in being the villain on MTV’s “The Hills” — has a view of America’s second-largest city that a lot of Angelenos unfortunately seem to share.

“The system in Los Angeles isn’t struggling,” he said in January, launching his campaign exactly one year after his house burned down in the Pacific Palisades fire. “It’s fundamentally broken.”
