Democrats Need to Release Their 2024 Autopsy
A wild 107 days.
Photographer: Megan Varner/Getty ImagesKen Martin, the chair of the Democratic National Committee, is facing a mess of his own making. It threatens not only his unremarkable tenure, but also the party he claims to lead. Martin pledged to conduct and release an after-action report of Democrats’ disastrous 2024 campaign. Now he has backtracked, saying that there are no plans to release the full findings. That’s stoked the ire of party members and activists.
This is an untenable and indefensible position. In all likelihood, given how the increased scrutiny is making him squirm, he will be forced to change his position again.
