'Dangerous' Mythos Is Showcasing London's AI Aptitude

Here’s something you don’t see every day: In the midst of an urgent global race to deploy artificial intelligence, some tech companies are voluntarily reining themselves in. Microsoft Corp., Alphabet Inc. and Elon Musk’s xAI have agreed to give US officials early access to new ​AI models, for national security testing. The White House has meanwhile dropped its light-touch approach to the booming business and is exploring ways to set standards.
