MAGA Calling Newsom Racist? That’s Rich — But Possibly Effective
A book tour that started with a bang.

But the California governor also seems to understand that he has work to do to convince voters that he’s more than just a slick-talking, coastal elite with progressive politics and a pretty face. To that end, he spent much of last week in the South promoting his new memoir, “Young Man in a Hurry.”
“I’ve become a caricature of myself and contributed to it,” Newsom lamented recently to The Atlantic, “as it relates to this perception of privilege and wealth that has dogged me.”
