Simple Reforms Could Help Prevent the Next ICE Shooting

Something’s got to change.

Hours after an ICE agent fatally shot Renee Nicole Good on a snowy Minnesota street, Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey said he’d been worried just such a thing might happen ever since the Trump administration made his city the latest focus of its aggressive immigration crackdown.

“We have stated that something like this, where either a civilian, a police officer or even an ICE agent was going to get badly injured or killed,” he told CNN on Wednesday. “Tragically, it’s happened.”
