Big party, brutal hangover.

That’s likely how many Venezuelans feel today, as the euphoria following Nicolás Maduro’s capture gives way to reality: Chavismo still controls the country, at least for now. Even under close White House tutelage, the elevation of Delcy Rodríguez — one of the principal architects of Venezuela’s repressive system — to acting president is a hard pill to swallow.
