The threat of a looming TikTok ban over its parent company’s roots in Beijing hasn’t stopped a crop of new Chinese artificial intelligence apps from breaking into the US market.
Is their intention to use the fresh appeal of AI to spy on US users and spout Communist Party propaganda? More likely, these firms are trying to do the most American thing possible: make money.
