There are few things I've been certain about in my life: Death, taxes, and the fact that the Fed will finally cut rates today. It’s all happening just weeks before a pivotal election, and we’re reacting in real-time on LIVE <GO> and on YouTube.

The Federal Reserve’s policy-setting committee is all but guaranteed to cut interest rates Wednesday afternoon for the first time since 2020. Chair Jerome Powell insinuated as much last month when he said, “The time has come for policy to adjust.”

But there’s still considerable uncertainty around how much the central bank will lower its benchmark rate from a two-decade high of 5.25%-5.5%, where it’s been since July 2023.
