“My baby want a Birkin, she’s been tellin’ me all night long,” sings Shaboozey in his chart-topping single “A Bar Song (Tipsy).”

The lady in the lyrics isn’t the only one. The iconic handbag has become so desirable — and hard to buy — that two shoppers in California have alleged that its maker, Hermes International SCA, is breaking US antitrust law.
